This Koide hybrid (cross # 1850) came out of the grex of Tillandsia aeranthos X recurvifolia v. subsecundifolia. The open rosette has grey-green lepidote leaves with a slight purple blush.The tips of the orange-red floral bracts are covered with white trichomes. The petals are white and sometimes have a faint tint of lavender.
