This John Arden hybrid is T. ionantha x chiapensis.
It is one of our absolute favorites here at Bird Rock. It has a purple-pink leaf coloration in good lighting and it blushes even more pink when blooming. It produces a few short pink spikes.
It is easy to grow and rarely has issues with leaf tip damage or insects. It’s a perfect hybrid between the two parents! If you have a lot of green colored plants this one will really stand out as the year round color is different and beautiful!
This plant definitely looks like its parents. It has the overall shape of an ionantha but is very fuzzy and silver-pink like chiapensis. I ordered a small plant and received a plant about 4" across. It has a pleasing symmetrical rosette form.
