This is a Mark Dimmitt hybrid, Tillandsia chiapensis x concolor.  Another of his hybrids, Tillandsia 'Majestic', is made with T. chiapensis x concolor (red spike form) and has a dark red colored spikes. This clone was not made with the red form of T. concolor.  Tillandsia 'Majestic Rose' develops a rose blush in foliage and strong rose coloring in the spikes.  The inflorescence will have up to 6 spikes which are slightly lepidote and produce violet flowers.  A spectacular plant.
