This tillandsia hybrid was created by Mark Dimmitt. We received it as T. aerquitae X stricta, cross #1983-502-13, but we believe it is actually T. stricta X aeranthos.  It has light green semi-stiff foliage and produces a stricta-like inflorescence.

This easy to grow and extremely vigorous plant has a tendency to grow into long and dense clumps, given that it can take a while to bloom. The shape is quite unusual and pretty! Flowers are dark purple, emerging from dark pink bracts.
