These plants were originally acquired from the Dept. of Cajamarca in northern Peru in 1988, while on expedition with Prof. Werner Rauh. He identified them as Tillandsia floribunda. But I always thought they were different. They have flowered many times and we grow them from offsets. Recently published as Tillandsia pseudo-floribunda, Gouda.
