This hybrid from Dominican Republic was made by Louis Ariza Julia using Tillandsia ariza-julia as the seed parent and T. pruinosa as the pollen parent.  The few leaves form a narrow, bulbous base ascending to 24 cm tall.  The whole plant is covered with a sparsely white tomentum.  The inflorescence is simple or occasionally branched, pink in color and has light purple tubular flowers.
