This natural hybrid was originally acquired as Tillandsia brachycaulos X xerographica from Kurt Meyer in Guatemala (Bromelifolia). It has beautiful recurring, narrow, light green leaves which entirely turn red when blooming, just as does T. brachycaulos. The inflorescence rises above the foliage with short narrow spikes.
