Tillandsia compressa is found in Guatemala and the Caribbean. This form which is the most attractive form, is from Jamaica, and resembles a miniature T. jalisco-monticola. The Guatemalan form, typically has a single spike, whereas the form from Jamaica frequently has two or three spikes, which are inflated and peachy-pink in color.
