This rare Dimmitt hybrid was created in 1984 - Tillandsia tectorum (Giant, Peru) X T. duratii var. saxatillis. We acquired one plant 24 years ago. It bloomed for the first time in April of 2020 and we now are harvesting our first few pups. We have one for sale now and hope to be able to offer one or two more in the near future. From offset it should bloom in 3-4 years, as pups always grow faster than seedlings.
