This form comes from northern Mexico, and like many other large clones of species, these were found growing directly under high tension power lines. There was an audible buzz under these lines, don't know if that has an effect on the growth of the plants or not, but these do grow much larger than the regular form. The two forms are shown side by side in this larger photo. Leaves extended upright.
