
This species belongs to the subgenus Pseudovriesea and is native to Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Columbia and Peru. It is found growing epiphytically in forests at elevations of 690 to 1500 meters. The open rosette forms a semi-bulbous base and produces an arching orange colored inflorescence with pale green almost white petals.
